About Peter
Ex RN sailor, pro soccer player and social worker but ever a wit, raconteur, and bon vivant Peter is very old but has two grown up kids that claim to understand him. Peter lives in Manchester despite being a lifelong Liverpool fan. He loves opera, Caravaggio, Thai food and all forms of beer.
Peter was once bitten by a dangerous, ferociously poisonous snake in Ecuador but survived to bore the butt off people naive enough to listen to his courageous escapades.
Writing
Peter recently received a special award from the NHS for his plays on Health and Social Care issues. He has written a number of textbooks and articles on Social Work – now faded into obscurity where hopefully they will remain.
Peter is Artistic Director of EYEWITNESS THEATRE COMPANY who produce Safeguarding Children plays and films for the NHS and Social Care.
Peter’s favourite press review is from Colin McClean – GLOBE AND MAIL (Canada) – “McGarry can’t write!’’
